About the role
The North Lambton Community Health Centre is seeking applicants for the following permanent position: 1.0 FTE Receptionist - 37.5 hours/week The receptionist is responsible for providing administrative support for the Chronic Disease and Health Promotion programs and Frontline reception. Receptionist duties include telephone communication with clients and visitors, scheduling appointments, coordinating client flow and managing special projects, as required.
Qualifications Secondary school diploma required. Additional training in clerical skills (community college diploma or equivalent) is preferred. Two to five years’ office experience preferred, ideally in a health care setting. Computer proficiency in various software applications required (e.g. Excel, Word, Canva, and Power Point). Experience with an electronic medical record, preferred. Exceptional interpersonal skills and expertise in dealing with the public. Ability to multi-task and manage frequent interruptions. Understanding of the Community Health Centre model of care is an asset. Proficiency in French is considered an asset. The rate of pay for this position is $40,583 - $48,200 annually (on a six-step grid). The rate of pay offered will be based on experience and education. Medical benefits, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and paid vacation are included. Flexible hours of work are required. The incumbent will be required to travel to all locations, as needed.
