Situé à Varennes, UL Laboratoire Canada inc. est un laboratoire d’essais spécialisé dans l’évaluation des performances des composantes de l’enveloppe du bâtiment. Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’un(e) Chargé(e) de projets / Prototypes, matériaux et systèmes pour se joindre à notre équipe.

À partir du bureau de Varennes et sous la supervision du chef d’équipe, le ou la titulaire du poste aura la responsabilité de la réalisation d’essais de performance reliés à l’enveloppe du bâtiment. Ces essais toucheront particulièrement la performance de prototypes grandes échelles de l’enveloppe de bâtiments avant leurs constructions, mais aussi à la mise l’essai de différents matériaux et systèmes.

Located in Varennes, UL Laboratory Canada Inc. is a testing laboratory specializing in the evaluation of the performance of building envelope components. We are currently looking for a Project Manager / Prototypes, Materials and Systems to join our team.

From the Varennes office and under the supervision of the team leader, the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out performance tests related to the building envelope. These tests will focus on the performance of large-scale prototypes of the building envelope prior to construction, as well as the testing of different materials and systems.

• Réaliser différents essais selon les besoins des clients et les paramètres des projets (essais sur prototypes, essais thermiques, essais structuraux et en tunnel aérodynamique de divers matériaux et systèmes selon les exigences des normes et procédures ASTM, AAMA, CSA et CAN/ULC) ;

• Participer à la conception et la fabrication de montages et structures d’essais (analyse, dessins, spécifications techniques, calcul des quantités et construction) ;

• Effectuer diverses tâches reliées à la gestion de projet (rédaction de protocole d’essais et de rapport d’essais) ;

• Coordonner les différents projets avec les clients et autres professionnels ;

• Travailler étroitement avec le personnel po

  ur identifier les occasions d'amélioration des procédés et des équipements ;

• Toutes autres tâches connexes au poste.

• Perform various tests according to customer needs and project parameters (prototype testing, thermal testing, structural and wind tunnel testing of various materials and systems according to the requirements of ASTM, AAMA, CSA and CAN/ULC standards and procedures);

• Participate in the design and manufacture of test assemblies and structures (analysis, drawings, technical specifications, quantity calculation and construction);

• Perform various tasks related to project management (drafting of test protocols and test reports);

• Coordinate the various projects with clients and other professionals;

• Work closely with staff to identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements;

• All other duties related to the position.

• Diplôme collégial ou universitaire en génie (civil, construction ou mécanique) ;

• Habiletés à travailler en équipe ainsi que pour les travaux manuels ;

• Compétence en matière de collaboration avec les clients et en gestion de projets ;

• Expérience en conception de structures d'acier un atout ;

• Connaissances informatiques (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) ;

• Maîtrise des logiciels AutoCAD et dessin 3D (ex. SolidWorks)

• Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit.

• Qualités personnelles recherchées :

• Relations interpersonnelles, responsable, sens de l’organisation, dynamique.

• College or university degree in engineering (civil, construction or mechanical);

• Skills in teamwork as well as for manual work;

• Competence in client collaboration and project management;

• Experience in the design of steel structures an asset;

• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams);

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and 3D drafting (e.g. SolidWorks)

• Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.

Personal qualities sought:

• Interpersonal relations, responsible, organizational skills, dynamic.

Rémunération globale :

Nous comprenons que la rémunération est un facteur important lorsque vous envisagez la prochaine étape de votre carrière. La fourchette salariale estimée pour ce poste se situe entre 50 000 $ et 70 000 $ CAD et repose sur plusieurs facteurs, notamment les connaissances et compétences liées au poste, l’expérience, la situation géographique, ainsi que d’autres éléments pertinents. Ce poste donne droit à une prime annuelle, avec un objectif de versement équivalant à 5 % du salaire de base. Il offre également des avantages sociaux comprenant les soins de santé, y compris les soins dentaires et de la vue; des programmes de bien-être, notamment en matière de santé mentale et financière; ainsi qu’un régime d’épargne-retraite conforme aux avantages standards offerts dans chaque lieu ou pays. Nous offrons aussi aux employés à temps plein des congés payés, incluant les vacances (15 jours), les jours fériés légaux, 3 jours personnels, ainsi que des congés de maladie (80 heures).

Total Rewards:

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 CAD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits including dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), statutory holidays and 3 personal days and sick time off (80 hours).
