Hybrid - 2 days minimum onsite International sponsorship nor relocation is supported for this role THE ROLE This role is an integral part of the Canada Supply Chain Team and serves as a key partner to the broader Canada Ice Cream community. The position oversees the end-to-end order-to-cash logistics process for direct-store-delivery customers, supporting the execution, reporting, and analysis of sales performance across assigned markets. It plays a critical role in route-to-market network transformations and works closely with logistics partners to ensure service targets are achieved, operations run smoothly, and deliveries are made on time. The role is also responsible for managing logistics costs against budget by validating and processing invoices through purchase-to-pay platforms. Acting as the primary point of contact for distributors and customers, this individual collaborates closely with warehouse operations on order fulfilment, logistics, and call centre activities, while continuously identifying and implementing efficiencies across the route-to-market network. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Logistics Operational Management: Foster strong relationships with each of our Ice Cream distributors and work alongside them to ensure store deliveries to our customers are on-time with no issues. Coordinate with the warehouse and distributors/transportation providers as required to ensure order lead-times are met. Ensure customer orders are meeting minimums. Monitor consistent adherence and engage CD if required. Promoting effective truckload utilization to drive efficiencies. Work closely with the DC to ensure on-time movement of loads from DC to customers, and ensure continuous improvement and SOP compliance, in collaboration with distributors/transportation providers. Support deployment from our distribution centers and sourcing unit as required. Financial Control: Monitor distribution costs. Monitor accruals, or flag necessary accruals to finance. Validate/approve/process invoices (transport, fuel, distributor warehousing) on a weekly or monthly basis. Identify large variances, understand drivers, and implement actions to control in future. Flag any risk/opportunities to the business. Review and validate claims for buy/back credits. Actively contribute distribution cost budgeting. Continuous Improvement: Provide KPIs and meet regularly with call center and distribution partners to address gaps. Develop loss trees to analyze KPI losses, and define action plans to fix issues in collaboration with Warehouse, Carriers, Customer team, Reporting: Run SAP/SOCS reports to identify incomplete sales orders, required data maintenance, sales volume & pacing, on-time adherence, etc. Review SAP/SOCS exception reports and resolve issues in a timely manner. Monitor unconfirmed orders to ensure distributors are confirming/resolving any outstanding deliveries in the SOCS system. Cross Functional Collaboration: Links closely with CD, planning, warehousing (internal and external) to identify and close gaps for seamless order execution. Ongoing reviews with Customer Development/Call Center on upcoming promotions, critical stock issues, cut information on sales orders. Sales Reporting and Data Analytics: Performs ongoing market analysis with respect to sales on an ongoing basis and summarize quarterly Buy-sell reports for rebates. Use all sources of available data to validate strategies, and course-correct where necessary. Consolidate Credit Management process and Promotional invoices monthly. Identifies largest areas of opportunity for distribution and uses those insights to guide distribution points to up-level market conditions. Effectively extrapolates data from Dispute Reports to assess root causes, identify reasons why, and recommend a course of action to correct. Interpret and evaluate key data pain-points compiled from Business Insights (BI) reporting, Evolution of reporting into Power BI. Communicate customer promotions to the distributors/sales rep every month. Sales Program Execution: Drive Perfect Store conditions to Win vs Competition in the market. Create relevant incentive promotions to drive performance and engagement. Effectively extrapolate data from Sales Reports to assess root causes and opportunities. Ensure the implementation and execution of agreed merchandising standards. Maintains a strong knowledge of all Unilever and Distributor Systems for forecasting, mix management, territory, and route management. Spends time in the trade with Sales Reps Works closely with Sales Operations Manager and Key Account Managers Projects Support/lead roll out of new programs, project work as assigned. Will need to be able to: Evaluate trade-offs of time, cost, and service to satisfy both Unilever and its customers. Analyse large sets of data (identify trends/opportunities, create ad-hoc reports, validate customer files, SAP item master & customer data review, etc) Manage multiple customers and priorities in a high volume, tight lead-time, quick response environment. Flexibility to work in evenings/weekends to support month-end or project cutover activities as required. Enablers: Establish a positive and collaborative relationship with the customer. Work collaboratively with Planning and Customer Development to ensure delivery of sales growth. Work closely with transportation carriers to ensure on-time delivery. WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO Has 5 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain and Customer facing roles Experience in direct-to-store delivery operations Proven ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement to drive business benefits. A strong understanding of logistics processes is required to drive upwards performance of transportation related KPIs. Must continually raise the bar for KPIs such as on-time delivery, and targeted budget improvement goals. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience Some travel may be involved depending on where role is located. Fluency in French is a requirement. TMICC takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
