About the role
The Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW) is a progressive, member-driven union representing highly skilled tradespeople across Canada. We are currently recruiting Journeyperson Electricians for Hydro One construction projects in North West Ontario

Compensation & Benefits
Total Wage Package: $65.89 Base Rate: $49.49 hour (based on 40-hour workweek) Vac/Stat: $4.95 Health & Welfare/RRSP: $11.45 Travel and Board: $144.27 (entitlement as per Hydro One Collective Agreement) Possible overtime on projects Work conditions and compensation packages are among the most competitive in the Canadian construction industry
Shift / Hours
Shift could vary: Monday to Thursday 4 days x 10hrs - overtime as required
Locations
Marathon TS and other northern sites
Work Scope
Electrical installations;
inside work involves wiring protection & control installations, pulling cables, terminating & removing cable, telecom installation cat 5&6 cable terminations, fiber optic installations. Outside work; includes removal & installation of switches, insulators, breakers, surge arrestors & transformer, operating man lifts, fork lifts, and working in heights.
Work Environment: inside/outside work, confined spaces
Predominantly working in a high voltage environment.
