About the role
About The Position Our client is a private household residing in West Vancouver, BC seeking a creative and forward-thinking Private Vegan Chef to provide daily meal preparation and occasional events/gatherings dining for a family of four (two adults and two children).
The ideal candidate will bring both professionalism and warmth to the home kitchen — offering nutritious plant-based meals tailored to the family’s tastes and lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal, diverse menus with a focus on plant-based and gluten-free ingredients, freshness, balance, and creativity.
- Plan and prepare lunches and dinners in accordance with family preferences and dietary needs.
- Manage grocery shopping, kitchen inventory, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the principal to adapt menus for guests, events, or changing schedules.
- Prepare meals for private dinners, small gatherings, or special occasions hosted at the residence.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Private Chef in private households, yachting, or other similar settings.
- Knowledge of plant-based and gluten-free cuisines.
- Ability to work independently with discretion and a service-oriented attitude.
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving household needs.
- Must be a team player who communicates respectfully and works well with household staff.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and a vehicle.
