About the role
The WINNpass Clerk will work under the general supervision of the Team Lead for Customer Services and is responsible for maintaining the Transit WINNpass program. This includes processing and determining eligibility for new and renewal WINNpass applications. In addition, the WINNpass Clerk will prepare WINNpass program appeals for the supervisor to consider for individual applicants. Duties performed by the WINNPass Clerk ensure the general public is provided with a professional, helpful, and efficient support service.
As the WINNpass Clerk, your duties will include:
- WINNpass Applications
- WINNpass Accounts
- Correspondence with the public, internal and external stakeholders.
- Data and Filing Management
- Other Office-Related Duties including assistance to the public at the front counters
Your education and qualifications include:

High School graduate or GED.

Additional relevant business courses, such as; Business Administration, Accounting, and Business Communications, etc., would be an asset

Three years of directly related work experience, providing customer service, in an office setting (i.e., managing inbound calls, data entry, filing, etc.).

Minimum one year of experience handling cash, charges with reconciliation for end of shift requirements.

experience to maintain accurate records and files following established policies and procedures

experience working with multiple computer programs at one time

Experience working with confidential information, adhering to FIPPA and PHIA plus other related policies and procedures.

Knowledge of Transit's bus routes and system operating procedures would be an asset.

Demonstrated ability to keyboard 40 w.p.m.

Proficiency in operating a personal computer at an advanced level, in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and initiate responsible action.

Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

French or a fluent additional language considered an asset

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and various levels of Transit and City of Winnipeg personnel following the Respectful Workplace Standard.
Proven ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations, ensuring composure is maintained and customers are handled in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.

- Ability to lift and move boxes, weighing up to 20 lbs.
