Key duties
- Process refund and credit requests promptly in accordance with regulatory requirements and Air Canada policies.
- Apply established procedures, training materials, and reference documents to complete refund and credit functions accurately.
- Determine refund/credit eligibility using manuals, tariffs, fare rules, and pricing resources.
- Review customer requests and conduct research to provide accurate and appropriate responses.
- Apply relevant policies and fare rules to issue correct refunds or decline ineligible requests.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners.
- Communicate with customers via email and telephone in a professional and service‑oriented manner.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good judgement and ability to prioritize duties/tasks
- Proficient in multi-tasking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel experience required
- Ability to learn and use various industry specific computer programs
- Travel and Tourism Diploma (asset)
- Experience in the airline or travel industry
- Knowledge of ticketing, fares, fare rules, and taxation (asset)
- Tariff training
- Familiarity with airline and city codes
- Experience with GDS or reservation systems
- Ability to represent the airline with professionalism, representing the best of the Air Canada brand
- Minimum one (1) year office experience
- Accounting knowledge, an asset
