About the role
The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis is a role, partnering with the Manager, Financial Analysis, to support the financial planning, reporting, and delivery of business insights for Single Employer Rest of Canada (ROC) business at People Corporation.
#The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will:
Reporting and Analysis
- Review monthly financial results and key performance indicators, identifying and investigating variances in revenue and expenses.
- Analyze revenue streams and provide detailed breakdown by drivers (e.g. new business/product, termination/lost business).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reporting, including validation of corporate accounting entries.
- Monitor financial performance in real time and proactively flag risks and opportunities.
Management Reporting
- Perform variance analysis against budget and forecast, identifying root causes and key drivers impacting financial performance.
- Support management reporting in providing key insights of overall company financial performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve reporting quality and enhance financial visibility.
Commissions management
- Calculate, validate and process broker commissions and incentive compensation accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with commission plan guidelines.
- Perform other Ad-hoc tasks as required.
#To be successful as a Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis you will need:
- 1- 2 years of professional experience in the finance and accounting industry, or experience in data analytics.
- Completion of post-secondary education in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA, CFA and/or CPA designation is an asset.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and presentation skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, power query, power BI.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to establish and build relationships with various stakeholders

The base salary for this position is between $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
