Job Description:
We are looking for a co-op student to develop new models that will allow customers to use a newly developed IO card (GTSIO) to interface their simulations to external equipment using common communication protocols like SPI, I2C, RS-232, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet. The goal is to complete a working component that supports reading and writing using one or two of these protocols, providing a template for future development. Along with this primary task, the co-op student will also be assigned documentation tasks, and software testing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Learn Cbuilder and work with the company’s engineers to design and implement a component that gives access to some of the protocols supported by the GTSIO card (SPI, I2C, RS-232, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet)

Update Cbuilder User Manual – Use AI (Copilot) to help expedite this process

Assist in testing new RSCAD FX software features as they are developed

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completed at least two years of study in Electrical Engineering
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits is required.
- Completion of Introductory Computer Science course is required
- Experience with programs such as PSCAD, RSCAD, and/or Simulink preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
