Value Stream Manager
The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is responsible for overseeing daily production across assigned Business Units, directly managing Production Managers across all shifts to ensure operational performance, schedule adherence, and throughput. This role focuses primarily on production execution, driving efficiency, addressing bottlenecks, and supporting targeted continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality output while enabling growth and change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production operations across assigned Business Units, ensuring schedules, throughput, and quality targets are consistently met.
- Directly manage Production Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Identify production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational risks, implementing solutions to optimize flow and output.
- Lead targeted continuous improvement initiatives within production, supporting both incremental and step-change projects.
- Track key production metrics, analyze trends, and report performance to senior leadership.
- Support operational growth initiatives, including new product introductions, layout changes, and multi-plant builds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities, resources, and operational execution.
Must Be Experienced In:
- Leading and developing experienced Production Managers or equivalent senior leaders in a manufacturing environment.
- Scheduling, throughput, and capacity management to meet production targets.
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks and operational risks.
- Implementing Lean manufacturing principles and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Driving operational performance while supporting growth, change, or new product initiatives.
- Coaching and developing production leaders (supervisors/PMs).

- Strong operational leadership and decision-making skills.
- Analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Ability to balance daily operational demands with strategic initiatives.
- Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, managing experienced managers and direct management of production teams.
- Proven track record of achieving operational performance targets and driving process improvement.
