About the role
Food Supervisor

**What you’ll do:**You will be responsible for leading the team in providing legendary customer service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here." This will be accomplished by:
- Being abreast about merchandise, make recommendations, resolve any concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Actively collaborating with the ‘Food Supervisor Training’ during/post onboarding to continuously train and develop the team and provide leadership to the team members and in assigning and managing their work and performance.
- Supervising and delegating employee’s workflow and duties while ensuring all staff are following safety procedures/ protocols as well as Legacy Co-op's policies and procedures.
- Responsible for quantity and quality availability of the stock and merchandise in a timely manner and inventory management.
- Providing ongoing and frequent communication and coaching.
- Assisting with interviews as needed.
**Who you are:**You are interested in a career in customer service and:
- You have prior supervisory experience (considered an asset).
- You have above average communication skills and computer skills.
- You have retail experience in the areas of customer service and merchandising.
- Have knowledge of retail grocery operations and willing to expand knowledge in this area.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
- You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel.
**Reports to:**Blair Malysh, Grocery Manager
