About the role
G Mining Services is a multidisciplinary company which provides professional services in the mining industry for underground and open pit mining projects in precious, base, or industrial metals. G Mining Services is one of the most important mining engineering consulting firms in Quebec and among the leading firms renowned for their international projects.
The work will be carried out as part of the major Coffee Gold Project, located in Yukon Territory, Canada, 130 kilometres south of the city of Dawson. The project is currently in its early stages as our crews are working on the preliminary work of the mine site. The project is based on FIFO mode (Fly in Fly out).
In order to ensure the completion of this important gold project located on First Nations traditional territories, G Mining Services is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:
Mining Camp Leader - Yukon
Summary of Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the G Mining Services Construction Manager, this position will be part of the CORE team (Construction Readiness) and work directly from the Coffee Gold Project mine site in rotational working mode. The incumbent will have as his/her mandate: will be required to:
Logistics, Administration, Travel (FIFO) and Staff Accommodation
- Manage assignments based on delays, cancellations, weather contingencies, waiting lists, mobilization and relocation.
- Manage camp accommodation for all mine site users.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and comfort (facilities, temperatures, access, cleanliness etc.).
- Manage camp requests and incidents (breakage, repairs, cohabitation).
- Contribute to the timely identification of risks and issues related to accommodation and cooking, and ensure corrective or mitigation measures are in place.
Site Management and General Supervision
- Ensure communication and compliance with all GMS policies, procedures (alcohol, drugs, noise, harassment, cleanliness, cohabitation) for the duration of the project.
- Make sure to identify and communicate information regarding the following: smoking areas, walkways, parking lots, access and approvals, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality control and quality assurance requirements through daily site inspections and visits (kitchen, work areas, living areas).
Procurement, Receipt and Management of Inventory
- Plan logistics, coordinate transportation and ensure receipt of the following items: construction trailers, accommodations, furniture, food, accessories etc.
- Verify orders received on site (quantity, quality, compliance).
- Manage spare parts and service contracts.
- Work with the local kitchen team and catering company to manage supplies, ensure freshness and safety of fresh, dry and frozen food.
- Work with the kitchen team and catering company to plan food requirements and monitor food inventories.
Maintenance, Infrastructure and Technical Services
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings, laundry, kitchen, water supply, HVAC systems etc.);
- Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of icebreaking, snow removal, coated abrasive application, etc.);
- Work with the Construction Manager for logistics organization of the site (location of construction trailers, temporary relocations, etc.).
Ensure respectful and collaborative community relationships with Indigenous and First Nations communities.
- Develop healthy working relationships and collaboration with local communities;
- Support local businesses in choosing our service providers;
- Ensure that cultural awareness is established and promoted among staff and that all people on site live together in a healthy manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in camp or site management (preferably in mining and remote areas);
- Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
- Staff accommodation
- Kitchen management
- Logistics of rotations (FIFO, and land, sea and/or air transport)
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Mine site health, safety and environment
- Management of external suppliers or subcontractors
- Good level of knowledge with Office Suite;
- Planning and management experience;
- Ability to communicate easily in both English and French (written and spoken).

- Initiative oriented.
- Experience with Aboriginal / First Nations communities (strong asset).
- Mine site experience in early works or construction phases (asset).
- Remote site experience in a northern climate (asset).
Additional information on the Coffee Gold Project
- Contract with possibility of extension or permanence.
- Mandate start: early April 2026.
- Mandate end: December 2026 (approximately).
- Strong opportunity for contract extension, customer support or renewal with G Mining for future projects.
- Project location: Yukon, Canada.
- FIFO rotation schedule (fly-in fly-out 22-20, 11 hours of work per day at the site).
- Transportation, accommodation and meals provided.
