Responsibilities:

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Transcription of medical dictation and associated processes
• Processing corrections as necessary
• Providing productivity statistics as required

Qualifications:

• Medical Transcription Certificate or equivalent required
• Minimum of three (3) years’ medical transcription experience required, with experience in transcribing at least (3) three specialties for over one year for each
• Preference will be given to candidates with hospital transcription experience
• Proficient typing skills with a minimum of 65 words per minute
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions
• Familiarity with digital dictation systems, word processing software (Microsoft Word, etc.) and other relevant computer applications is considered an asset
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work independently is essential
• Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and performance required
