About The Opportunity We're looking for a versatile, detail-driven designer to partner with our creative and marketing team on a long-term contract basis. This engagement is ideal for a visual storyteller who thrives across digital, print, video, and UX/UI work. You'll retain full autonomy over how you approach and execute your work, while collaborating closely with our marketing team on-site. We've found that in-person collaboration sharpens creative output and speeds up feedback loops — designers on this team tell us proximity to marketing makes their work stronger and their projects move faster. Your designs will directly fuel lead generation, brand development, and customer engagement across every channel. What You'll Work On Graphic Design & Brand Assets Marketing collateral — brochures, flyers, sales decks, and print materials Digital assets for web, paid ads, social, and lead-generation campaigns Visual consistency and brand alignment across every deliverable UX/UI Design Wireframes, user flows, layouts, and interface enhancements for web and digital platforms Intuitive, cohesive user experiences developed in partnership with internal teams Primary tooling in Figma alongside other modern UX/UI platforms Video & Multimedia Engaging video content for marketing and promotional campaigns Motion graphics and short-form video as needed Creative Operations AI-assisted design tools to boost both creativity and efficiency Multiple concurrent projects delivered to agreed specifications, timelines, and quality standards What You Bring 1-3+ years of professional graphic design experience; UX/UI experience strongly preferred A strong portfolio spanning graphic design, digital campaigns, and UX/UI Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro or After Effects) Figma proficiency for UX/UI design and prototyping Solid video editing and production experience Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools Sharp conceptual thinking, layout, and visual-storytelling instincts The ability to manage high-volume, fast-turnaround work independently Fluency in Mandarin is an asset, not a requirement Contract Details Long-term independent contractor engagement Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, remittances, and statutory obligations This is a chance to partner with Polaron's creative team and produce work that helps power Canada's clean energy future.

What you’ll do

The designer will create marketing collateral, digital assets, and UX/UI enhancements for web platforms to drive lead generation and brand development. Responsibilities include producing engaging video content and utilizing AI-assisted tools to maintain visual consistency across all channels.

Requirements

Candidates need 1-3+ years of professional graphic design experience with a strong portfolio and proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in video production and fluency in Mandarin are considered assets.
