THE ROLE
The Personal Insurance Advisor is an expert advisor responsible for servicing clients in a courteous and professional manner. These clientele may be principals of Lloyd Sadd commercial accounts or have prominent business and community affiliation. The Personal Insurance Advisor maintains extensive knowledge of various insurance products and collaborates with team members to ensure a superior customer service experience.
As an Personal Insurance Advisor, you are an Operator, patient, conscientious, relaxed and cooperative team worker. You are;

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Delivering “best in class” additional services to clients. Additional services would be defined as those “above and beyond” normal transactional services provided to personal lines clients;
- Participation in growth initiatives on behalf of the Personal Insurance department;
- Liaise with company underwriters to negotiate best terms for our clients when required;
- Ensure that strong, long-term customer relationships are created by providing value added services;
- Maintain a current knowledge base of insurance products and services with various insurance companies, including regular, non-standard, and relevant markets;
- Working with Personal Insurance team members to provide exceptional customer service experience;
- Works closely with Advisors on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to Lloyd Sadd’s best practices and standard procedures;
- Work closely with the Account Assistant’s to ensure timelines are being met and to review accuracy of documentation;
- Manage account documentation (i.e., routine inquires, quotes, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.) (Also Assistants JD)
- Review client’s current coverage and exposures, loss experience and analyze risk to determine the product/service requirements when required;
- Ensure EPIC workflows are followed including maintaining and updating custom forms;
- Ensure accurate and timely servicing and billing of accounts;
- Participate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge;
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- 2 to 4 years of personal lines experience and EPIC brokerage software preferred;
- Level 2 General Insurance license strongly preferred;
- Completed or working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation;
- Solid mentorship skills and teaming capability; the ability to lead and motivate, delegate, and rally colleagues;
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy and business acumen with a focus on customer service and the overall client experience;
- Skill in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and internal Broker Management Systems (EPIC).
