Canada Summer Jobs Program
The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to help all young Canadians develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.
As a requirement of the CSJ:
- This position is open to youth up to 30 years of age
- Candidates must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada

Hourly Wage Range: $22 - $24 per hour. This is the starting wage range for this role and may vary based on a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Position Summary
The Marketing Assistant is a hands-on member of the Marketing Services department; providing administrative and marketing support to the Content Marketing and Travel Media teams at Tourism Whistler.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
- Assisting with developing content for social media channels (e.g. Instagram stories)
- Supporting with content on Go Whistler Tours app
- Assisting with the coordination of itineraries and other prizing for contest winners
- Assisting with building and distributing gift bags for media FAMs
- Providing team administrative support
- Assisting with monthly and project reporting such as travel media coverage results, social media engagement, blog traffic and advertising results
- Maintenance of media database
- Supporting with administration of digital and content assets
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Post-secondary education or equivalent related experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Technical aptitude with proven computer skills
- Interest in, and understanding of, the marketing, social media, and travel media landscape
