The Role
They are looking for an Email Strategist who can balance data-driven decision-making with creative storytelling. This role is central to shaping the customer journey, with responsibility for building and optimizing email programs that drive engagement, retention, and loyalty. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, has deep expertise in lifecycle marketing, and is excited about crafting personalized experiences across every stage of the customer funnel.
The Responsibilities:
- Create and manage comprehensive email marketing campaigns, including promotional, transactional, onboarding, and retention flows.
- Use customer data to design detailed segmentation strategies based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement levels.
- Collaborate with creative teams to produce on-brand copy, visuals, and campaigns that reflect a consistent brand voice.
- Ensure all emails are accurate, responsive, and optimized for different devices and audiences.
- Build and refine automated flows, incorporating personalization and behavioral triggers to improve performance.
- Work with marketing and paid media teams to grow subscriber lists through targeted campaigns and strategic incentives.
- Maintain compliance with privacy and deliverability standards such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs—including open rates, CTR, conversion, and unsubscribes—while running tests to optimize subject lines, content, and timing.
- Provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve campaigns and customer journeys.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align messaging, timing, and customer experience across digital touchpoints.
The Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing, ideally within premium fashion, lifestyle, or athletic industries.
- Proficiency in CRM and email platforms such as Klaviyo, Shopify, and project management tools.
- Strong understanding of automated workflows, customer journeys, and lifecycle campaigns.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email troubleshooting and formatting.
- Expertise in segmentation, personalization, and list management.
- Analytical mindset with proven experience in A/B testing and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with deliverability practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Creative problem-solver with both strategic and executional strengths.
