Main Responsibilities You will actively participate in various assurance mandates, including:
Performing audit, review, and compilation engagements. Planning, executing, and documenting engagements independently. Analyzing the specific characteristics of NPOs and community organizations, including:
restricted funds, fund balances, and grant‑related revenue; reporting obligations to funding bodies; internal controls within organizations operating with limited resources.
Participating in client communications, explaining key issues and proposing improvements. Complying with ASPE, Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS), internal policies, and ethical requirements.
Desired Profile Essential
2 to 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm, mainly in assurance. Experience or strong familiarity with:
audits of NPOs, SMEs, or childcare centers; applicable professional standards (CAS).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent training). Strong rigor, autonomy, sense of responsibility, and ability to manage multiple engagements.
Assets
CaseWare (or equivalent). Paradigm and Taxprep. Functional English.
Important Note This position is intended for a professional who wants to take on a complete technical role in assurance, with real responsibility and a genuine desire to grow. If your main goal is a high salary without commitment to the quality of the work, this position will not be a good fit.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation based on experience: $70,000 to $92,000 (including bonus). Group insurance plan. Retirement savings plan with employer contribution. Selection Process
Exploratory interview (20 minutes). Technical discussion based on real cases. Final interview. A decision is usually provided within 14 business days.
