Our client, a globally renowned cultural organization, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chef to lead the kitchen of the cafeteria serving artists and technical teams, with the opportunity to expand your expertise to the prestigious VIP restaurant.
Your leadership and keen attention to detail will be key to elevating every service in an atmosphere where creativity meets precision.
Tasks:
- Develop cooked dishes that meet high standards of quality and creativity.
- Adapt to crafting a variety of dishes for regularly changing menus.
- Master all cooking techniques to ensure perfect results every time.
- Prepare ingredients and execute a variety of dishes with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Perform all other tasks related to the position to guarantee smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a chef.
- Completion of MAPAQ food safety and sanitation training, or equivalent certification.
- Strong mastery of basic cooking techniques (sautéing, grilling, frying, etc.) and knife skills are essential.
- Ability to create recipes from scratch.
- Availability to work on-site downtown.
- Culinary academic training is preferred.
Ideal candidate:
- Demonstrate autonomy and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Combine precision and creativity to craft memorable dishes.
- Coordinate effectively with event partners to ensure seamless execution.
- Pay close attention to every detail.
Salary: $25 per hour. Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, day shift from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or evening shift from 1:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. Status: Temporary
