Role Summary
As a Shop Labourer / Wash Bay Attendant, you support our heavy-duty mechanics by keeping the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently. Your work helps maintain a safe, well-functioning environment that keeps equipment and projects, moving forward.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:

Shop Cleanliness & Organization – Keep the shop floors, workstations, and common areas clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the day.

Wash Bay Operation – Safely operate and maintain the wash bay, cleaning construction equipment, company vehicles, and tools as needed.

General Labour Support – Assist mechanics with manual tasks such as moving parts, retrieving tools, organizing inventory, and disposing of waste.

Forklift Operation – Operate forklifts to move equipment, parts, and materials safely throughout the shop and yard.

Safety & Compliance – Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.

Team Collaboration – Take direction from mechanics and supervisors while working cooperatively to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications

Experience in a heavy-duty mechanic shop or similar environment.

Familiarity with shop tools, equipment, and general maintenance practices.

Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-
Able to follow direction and work efficiently without constant supervision.

Committed to safety, reliability, and working as part of a team.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This is a physically active, hands-on role based in a heavy-duty mechanic shop and wash bay.
-
You’ll need to be comfortable working around large equipment, cleaning chemicals, and shop noise.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive manual tasks such as moving parts, using tools, and standing or walking for extended periods.
