Pacekids Programs is a dynamic, family-centered organization that empowers children with diverse needs and their families through excellence in therapy, education, and play. We offer a collaborative, fast-paced environment where our team is passionate about making a difference every day.
We’re hiring an HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. This role provides essential support across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, staff changes, training coordination, and general HR operations. It’s ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys supporting a wide range of HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, interview coordination, reference checks, contracts, orientation, and system setup
- Respond to employee inquiries and support day-to-day HR processes
- Maintain accurate employee records, job descriptions, and documentation in ADP
- Process staffing changes, resignations, offboarding requirements, and employment letters
- Track certifications, CRCs, intervention checks, and required documentation
- Assist with benefits administration and follow-up on enrollment requirements
- Support OHS coordination by assisting with tasks, materials, communication, and documentation as needed
- Coordinate student practicums and placements with post-secondary partners
- Plan staff recognition, engagement, and milestone celebrations
- Assist with HR reporting, surveys, training coordination, and special projects
- Contribute to data clean-up, process improvement, and system enhancements
- Passion for our mission and participation in special events
- Provide additional support to the People & Culture department as assigned by the Managing Director, People & Culture
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of experience in human resources or administrative support
- HR certificate or diploma preferred
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to stay calm, flexible, and proactive in a busy environment
- Experience with ADP or another HRIS is an asset
- Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards is an asset
- High level of discretion and professionalism
Location & Schedule
Based at our Sunridge location (130–2850 Sunridge Blvd NE, Calgary)
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
Hybrid work model: in-office with the option to work from home 1 day per week
