About the role
Job Title: HR Advisor – RQ 25-26

TAQA North is seeking an HR Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, you will be responsible for providing ongoing day-to-day HR support and consultation to management and staff of a defined client group. You will facilitate the administration of compensation programs and support overall organizational effectiveness including staffing, training and development, employee engagement, talent management and policy implementation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the business on all HR matters
- Facilitating annual performance calibration cycle for respective client groups
- Conducting annual compensation reviews for respective client groups including salary and variable pay programs
- Out-of-cycle compensation reviews as required for client groups and individuals
- Facilitating talent review processes and Annual Talent Review program
- Coaching and providing HR support for clients during organizational changes
- Providing performance management support to leaders
- Supporting and administering internal recognition and service award programs
- Sourcing and organizing training opportunities for client groups as required
- Researching and staying apprised of various HR topics and industry trends
- Organizing and participating in recruitment activities, team building, and leadership presentations as required
- Periodically visit field office locations as required
- Acting as a role model and advocate for company values, culture and policies
Your Qualifications:
- University degree with a major in Business, Human Resources or other related education
- 5+ years human resources experience in an advisory capacity
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships throughout all levels of the organization
- A high level of organizational, analytical, critical thinking and administrative skills as well as the ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Experience conducting compensation reviews, including salary programs and market benchmarking
- Experience developing and implementing training and development programs, succession management and performance management programs
- A professional attitude with high level of ethics and confidentiality
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast paced, evolving environment with ability to respond to changing organizational priorities
- CPHR designation would be considered an asset
- Previous knowledge of ADP Payroll is not necessary but considered an asset
