We’re looking for a compassionate, detail-driven leader to oversee food service operations in a long-term care facility. As Food Service Director , you’ll ensure that every meal supports health, comfort, and dignity — while leading a team that takes pride in serving residents and families.

This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, making it ideal for someone who thrives in healthcare hospitality and wants to make a meaningful impact every day.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support food service, housekeeping, and laundry teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service
• Partner with dietitians and healthcare staff to ensure meals meet specialized dietary needs
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff — listening, responding, and adapting with care
• Manage budgets, control costs, and monitor financial performance
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and healthcare regulations
• Recruit, train, and coach team members to grow their skills and confidence
• Respond to resident feedback and satisfaction surveys with thoughtful menu updates and service improvements
• Maintain accurate records and support audits and inspections

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in food service, with at least 1–3 years in a leadership role
• Previous experience in healthcare or long-term care settings
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and healthcare compliance standards
• Ability to manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and lead cost control initiatives
• A hands-on, empathetic leadership style that inspires trust and teamwork
• Flexibility to work event-based hours and support a dynamic care environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
