Location:
You’ll split your time between our Head Office in North Vancouver (2 days/week) and our Brymark Office in Port Coquitlam (3 days/week).

What You’ll Be Doing

Accounting & Reporting

• Support the Group Financial Controller in managing all finance-related activities.
• Oversee core accounting functions: A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, cost accounting, and cash management.
• Coordinate team responsibilities to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Manage job costing, job setup, and billing processes.
• Monitor daily cash flow and collections.
• Prepare financial statements and explain budget variances.
• Assist with year-end audits and prepare supporting documentation.

Leadership

• Lead and support a team of 5 finance and admin professionals.
• Foster collaboration between Finance and Construction teams.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, coaching, and continuous improvement.
• Provide insight and leadership to help the business grow.

Operational Support

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value.
• Recommend and implement new controls and efficiencies.
• Prepare reports and analysis for key stakeholders.

What You Bring

Qualifications

• CPA designation.
• At least 3 years of experience supervising accounting staff.
• Experience in construction and unionized environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Acumatica is an asset.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
