About the role
As a Regulatory Compliance Partner with our Tractor Trailer team, you will assist the Manager, Regulatory Compliance with the management, maintenance, and delivery of departmental compliance activities. Your goal will be to provide technical and regulatory support to stakeholders implementing compliance-related policies and standards; as well as operational procedures and processes. Your success will depend on your ability to provide efficient and thorough analysis of related regulations, interpret those regulations, and ensure that the business is informed and compliant with all relevant regulations through policy creation, maintenance and management.

Your Responsibilities:
- Build an understanding of current and developing regulations in all jurisdictions where Irving Oil operates
- Manage the Compliance Register, including technology enhancements, testing, and managing the admin portal and all associated business requests
- Review and analyze regulatory compliance data to ensure its accuracy and thoroughness, identify trends and solutions to ensure future compliance and prepare reports
- Track mandatory internal and external (including governmental) audit actions, notices and/or orders for reporting activities on behalf of Irving Oil
- Lead processes and initiatives to develop, implement, maintain, and revise company-wide policies and standards relating to regulatory compliance for current and developing jurisdictional regulations
- Support, monitor and advise business unit representatives for the development, implementation and review of corporate-wide compliance related policies and standards and operational procedures and processes
- Develop, manage, coordinate conduct of periodic compliance assessments to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal controls. Recommend preventative measures to lower overall risk of compliance violationsTrack and coordinate response to all external governmental survey requests through engagement and alignment with key stakeholders across the business in Canada and the US as well as key contacts at various US and Canadian governmental agencies
- Support the Manager, Regulatory Compliance Awareness and Education and business units’ learning specialists in developing, reviewing, and implementing compliance related training (curriculum, material, LMS, workshops) and awareness programs and activities
Your Skills:

Your Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience relevant to this position
- 3-5 years of experience in a related role
- Data modeling experience (e.g., Excel, Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, web surveys)
- Good understanding of the supply & logistics industry and related Compliance Management Software is considered an asset
