About the role
Service Supervisor
Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Service Supervisor in our Dartmouth location. This is a fast-paced, constantly growing branch, which relies on our team-oriented atmosphere to help maintain and build our customer base. Service Supervisor is a vital position that operates as the direct liaison between staff and customers, and is a key role in developing successful relationships with our customers.
The service Supervisor responsibilities include providing the highest level of customer service, developing lasting customer relationships, and overseeing the service team members. The service supervisor maintains a strong working knowledge of industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services.
To be successful as a service Supervisor, you should display a sales-minded attitude as well as excellent leadership skills. You should also have the ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign work to Shop and Field Technicians;
- Supervise and mentor Technicians;
- Guide parts and sales department with product knowledge;
- Provide estimates for customers;
- Review customer / internal and warranty work orders;
- Review and schedule the priorities of business;
- Perform other duties as required.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency/prior experience with Systematics would be considered an asset;
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge;
- Technical aptitude of CAT equipment and operations would be considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with technicians and in a similar and/or related parts environment;
- Knowledge in the creation of parts orders and work orders, developing and receiving purchase orders, inventory management, and estimate preparation;
- Experience in Microsoft applications, specifically: Outlook, Word, and Excel;
- Knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
- Previous experience in a related field;
- A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills;
- Professional customer service, and good communication;
- Effectively work within a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $27.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience
