About the role
The Technical Product Marketing Manager, Energy Storage System (ESS) will have the knowledge and experience in ESS technologies, markets, and regulatory environments for USA and Canada. This job requires close collaboration and partnership with customers, sales, operations, and energy storage OEMs.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Provide strategic guidance, objective analysis, planning, and development to accelerate adoption of emerging energy storage technology..
Analyze market and technical information to develop product requirements and specifications that meet the needs of diverse applications and technology capabilities.
Work closely with R&D, technical sales, and project management teams to prioritize product features, maintain product roadmaps, and ensure timely and successful product releases that meet customer requirements and project schedules.
Contribute to product strategies, pricing analysis, launch tactics, and commercial proposals, working cross-functionally to align internal resources and drive successful product initiatives.
Support sales by participating in customer discussions, developing technical documents and presentations, and participating in tender projects to ensure high-quality products and satisfied customers.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in product management, OEM partnerships, and product commercialization
- 3-5 years’ experience in energy storage systems and power controls
- Demonstrated experience in providing strategic guidance, objective analysis, planning, and development to accelerate adoption of emerging energy storage technology
- Guide and conduct market assessment, provided regulatory guidance, customer strategy and new product design, development & deployment - dedicated to energy storage and associated control hardware
- Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture ESS OEM partnerships
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple functional areas, including engineering, product development, partner networks, sales, customer operations, finance, and marketing
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in conducting intricate analysis using Excel spreadsheet advanced functions to streamline data manipulation to ensure accuracy and reliability in the analysis to make informed business decisions
- History of building relationships and successful collaborations with partners Demonstrated ability to seek and understand customer needs, and develop competitive plans
- Deep knowledge of power sector trends and applications ESS hardware and control hardware
- Extensive knowledge MS Office, especially using Excel spreadsheets to do complex and in depth analysis/automation for pricing analysis due to One Beautiful Big Bill Act (OBBBA) and ongoing tariff changes.
- Well versed in creating SharePoint tools and ensuring our customer-facing documentation is always up-to-date and easily accessible,
- Knowledge of current market trends
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to drive agreement among multi-functional teams, both with and without direct authority
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with our many stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Travel expectations 15-20%
- Hybrid on-site presence at Brampton or Boston offices Occasional travel for cross-functional coordination and trade shows
