The Opportunity!
Ram Iron & Metal is looking for an Account Manager /Business Development Manager to join our team**. You will be responsible for managing and growing our existing account portfolio within Ontario with the goal to achieve our sales objectives.**
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain outstanding business partnerships with existing and potential clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities via proactive outreach and relationship-building.
- Continuous customer and supplier visits to achieve business goals
- Apply subject expertise in evaluating business operations and processes
- Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor trends
- Manage full sales cycle including monthly purchases, establishing customer relationships, managing expenses.
- Account Administration: Generate monthly purchase orders, volume & revenue reports
- Participate in weekly sales meeting to share market insights and prioritize actions
- Participate and attend various industry and trade events
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications/Education
Two plus (2+) years’ work experience in Business Development or Account Management. Metal recycling industry an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Valid driver's license and active insurance vehicle policy
- B.A., preferably in Business or Finance is an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to effectively communicate in English; read, write, comprehension
- Critical thinking, analysis of facts, evidence and arguments in order to form a judgement
- Ability to effectively problem solve, develop and implement solutions
- Self-reliant and entrepreneurial, ability to complete assignments with minimal guidance
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to make formal and informal presentations in front of small audiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and cross-functional environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and within short timelines
