JUNIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Description**:**
This member of the Finance Department will:
- Be responsible for extracting, analyzing, reconciling and assisting in the interpretation of financial and other statistical data
- Complete assignments using knowledge of accounting principles and will review and analyze data and generate reports as required
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting the yearly School-Generated Funds Audits
- Assist in the preparation of the financial analysis for internal and external reporting,
- Assist with financial projections and reporting
- Provide support and assist with Board budget process and preparation of related financial reports
- Review and analyze Board budget and School Generated Fund accounts and transactions to ensure proper application of Board policies and procedures
- Assist in other areas of Corporate Services
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess
- Working towards a University degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting and finance;
- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills;
- Strong financial and analytical skills for data evaluation and problem solving; high degree of financial accuracy and high attention to detail
- Knowledge of and proficient use of MS Office software (in particular Excel, Word and Access)

Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
Salary: $22.94/hour plus 4% vacation
