Job Title: National Accounts Salesperson Location: Mississauga Branch Office/Field-Based (Travel Required at Times)
Reports To : Corporate Accounts Operations Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 (Bonus and Commissions) Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and driven National Accounts Salesperson with strong knowledge of the HVAC industry to manage and grow our portfolio of key national clients across Canada. This role involves selling HVAC systems, equipment, and service solutions to national accounts, including mechanical contractors, property managers, national retailers, and multi-site facility owners.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of HVAC systems and applications, excels in B2B sales, and can develop high-level client relationships and strategic account plans across multiple provinces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with national HVAC clients, including mechanical contractors, engineering firms, property management companies, and national accounts with multiple locations across Canada.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within both existing and new national accounts.
- Promote HVAC products and solutions, including equipment, service contracts, and energy-efficient upgrades.
- Negotiate pricing, national service agreements, and long-term supply contracts in line with company policies and margins.
- Collaborate with internal teams including technical support, regional sales managers, service departments, and logistics to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up to date on HVAC technologies, industry trends, codes, and standards to effectively position our offerings.
- Provide detailed sales forecasting, pipeline management, and activity reports to the Corporate Accounts Operations Manager.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, customer events, and site visits across Canada.
- Travel frequently across provinces and states to support national accounts (approximately 10–25% travel).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in the HVAC industry, preferably with national or key account responsibility.
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, components, service solutions, and industry standards.
- Strong network within the Canadian HVAC market (e.g., contractors, engineers, building managers, national retailers, developers).
- Proven ability to build and manage long-term relationships with large, multi-location customers.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, solution selling, and strategic account planning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Technical HVAC certifications are an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) is a strong advantage.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and ability to travel nationwide.

Working Conditions:

Office-based position with frequent travel across Canadian provinces.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess a valid driver’s license and a valid passport.

Flexibility to work extended hours to accommodate customer needs and travel schedules.

Frequent Travel:

Moderate travel across Canada and USA is required (approximately 10–25%) to visit national account locations, attend meetings, job sites, and industry events.

Overnight travel and occasional weekend travel may be necessary depending on client needs and project timelines.

Client-Facing Environment:

Regular interaction with contractors, engineers, property managers, and procurement professionals in both office and field settings.

Site visits may include construction zones, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other commercial or industrial environments.

Physical Requirements:

While not physically demanding, the role may occasionally require climbing stairs/ladders, standing for periods of time during site visits, and wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when necessary.

Work Hours:

Primarily Monday to Friday during business hours, with flexibility to adjust hours to meet customer demands or project schedules across time zones.

Must be comfortable managing a flexible schedule and working independently.

Tools & Technology:

Must have a reliable internet connection, and be proficient with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom).

Company Cellphone, laptop, CRM access, and technical tools will be provided.

Driver’s License:

A valid Canadian driver’s license is required.

Clean driving record and ability to rent vehicles or drive company vehicle.

A valid Canadian passport is required.
