Description
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and present financial reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and resolve any discrepancies.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Lead financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Mentor and manage the accounting team to achieve department goals.

Profile
The successful Controller should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).
- 7-10+ years working in construction or for a general contractor.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Knowledge of the General Contracting Construction industry financial practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to own and optimize our clients ERP system (Jonas Premier).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

This is a permanent role based in Mississauga. CPA (CA/CGA/CMA preferred. 7-10+ years working in construction or for a general contractor.
