We are looking to hire Industrial Engineering Specialist , who will be responsible for identifying, designing, planning, and executing automation and process improvement and capital projects through multi-functional team collaboration to support safety, quality, and cost saving initiatives for production in the Oakville facility.
What You Will Do
- Evaluates current state process gaps based on quality, safety, capacity, and cost
- Identify and Research Automation opportunities that will support the business for future growth
- Lead an internal team, or vendor, through the development, design and execution phases of the automation
- Offer technical expertise in design, development and execution of project
- Develop detailed project plans and ensure all project task deliverables, costs, and timelines are delivered according to plan
- Establish the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
- Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and document the manufacturing standard work and routings
- Plan the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control and production record systems
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace/ Electrical Engineering and 5 years of related experience or an Advanced Degree and 3 years of related experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing automation projects.
- Experience in CAD software system.
- Experience with Factory Automation product offerings in the market.
- Experience in Project Management and prioritizing projects.
- Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in Aerospace industry
- Experience in Catia and/ or NX.
- PLC Programming and Robotics experience.
- ABB and Fanuc Experience
- Problem solving, and Organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications
- Builds strong interpersonal relationships and motivates cross functional teams
- Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications
