Location: Oakville, Ontario (on-site)
Type: Permanent Full-time (10 months, September to June)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9.00 AM – 5.00 PM
Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $98,500.00 (based on 10 months)

Appleby College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Health Centre team. This role is central to supporting the physical and mental well-being of our students, contributing to a safe, healthy, and responsive school environment. HOW YOU WILL THRIVE:
As the Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver clinical care and health support to students, working closely with the Director of the Health Centre, the school physician, and the nursing team. You will help students manage both physical and mental health concerns while contributing to a holistic, collaborative care model that prioritizes student wellbeing.
HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for acute and chronic medical conditions and injuries
- Assess and support students experiencing mental health challenges, providing education, care plans, and referrals to external specialists when needed
- Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with students to foster trust and engagement in their health care
- Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice and school policies
- Act as a clinical resource for Health Centre nurses, collaborating on assessments and treatment planning to ensure consistent, student-centered care
- Participate as a core member of the Appleby Care Team (ACT), reviewing complex student cases, coordinating care plans, supporting house faculty, and assisting with student reintegration following hospitalization
- Oversee concussion protocol, assess injuries, and support students through recovery, including post-concussion syndrome management
- Contribute to individualized care planning for students with complex health needs or accommodations
- Promote student and community health through education, outreach, and wellness initiatives
- Participate in school-wide training programs on physical and mental health topics
- Collaborate with the Health Centre Director to optimize resources, systems, and care delivery
- Provide consultation and support to faculty and staff on student health concerns as required
WHAT YOU BRING**:**
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- Minimum 2 years of full-time clinical experience
- Current CPR certificate with annual AED recertification
- Competence in MS Office Suite; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and best practices in health care
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage a full workload, and meet deadlines
- Experience in mental health care is an asset
