Real Estate Law Clerk
Top Benefits
About the role
You're good at what you do.
You know how to run a file from start to finish. You understand the rhythm of real estate: lender instructions, title searches, requisitions, closing documents, and the hundred small details that make a transaction successful.
You move quickly. You stay organized. You don't miss things.
But here's the difference.
Most firms just want you to process files .
We want someone who can run files and make the system better .
Because when you're experienced in real estate law, you don't just follow the process, you start to see where it can be faster, clearer, and smarter.
Maybe you've built your own checklists.
Maybe you've created a spreadsheet that helped your team track deals.
Maybe you've figured out a better way to manage lender instructions or document workflows.
And maybe nobody really cared.
Here, that thinking is exactly what we're looking for.
What You Will Actually Do:
You'll join one of the most advanced real estate law practices in Canada, supporting residential real estate transactions from start to finish.
Day to day, you'll manage a steady flow of purchase, sale, and refinance files while coordinating with lawyers, lenders, agents, and clients to move deals forward smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Managing residential purchase, sale, and refinance files from open to close
-
Reviewing agreements of purchase and sale and preparing files accordingly
-
Conducting title searches and reviewing title documents
-
Preparing and reviewing requisitions and responses
-
Handling lender instructions and mortgage documentation
-
Preparing closing documents and statements of adjustments
-
Coordinating closings with lawyers, lenders, and clients
-
Managing post-closing registrations and reporting
But that's only part of the job.
As you master the work, you'll also help improve how the work gets done .
You might:
-
Help refine checklists and workflows
-
Improve documentation processes
-
Identify opportunities for automation or better use of legal technology
-
Help standardize processes across the team
-
Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues
Run the file.
Improve the system.
Help the entire team get better.
That's the role.
This Role Is For You If:
You are an experienced real estate law clerk who takes pride in doing things properly.
You think in processes and systems , not just individual tasks.
You're comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools.
You're organized and detail-oriented, but also practical and efficient.
You communicate clearly with lawyers, lenders, agents, and clients.
You stay calm in a high-volume closing environment and know how to prioritize.
You enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others improve.
This Role Is Not For You If:
You prefer working slowly through a small number of files.
You struggle with high-volume environments or tight closing timelines.
You are uncomfortable learning new technology or improving systems.
You prefer firms where processes never change.
What You Will Get:
Work with one of the most advanced real estate law firms in Canada
We're building a modern real estate law practice powered by strong systems, technology, and a team that genuinely supports one another.
A high-performing team
Our clerks are experienced, collaborative, and focused on doing great work.
Technology that actually helps

Growth opportunities
Strong performers can move into senior clerk roles and operational leadership as we continue expanding nationally.

The Practical Stuff:
Location: Oakville, Ontario (hybrid flexibility depending on workflow)
Hours: Standard business hours with occasional peak closing days
Experience:
3+ years of residential real estate law clerk experience preferred
Compensation:
CAD $55,000 to $75,000 (final offer based on experience and skillset).
