Job Summary
Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment serving visitors from around the world? Do you have a passion for the arts? Are you great on a POS system? The National Gallery of Canada Boutique is currently recruiting a bilingual Customer Service Assistant. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Customer Service Assistant will act as lead cashier and be responsible for a daily restock, ensuring that the demands of a busy retail operation are met. You will be an integral part of creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed. You must be willing to work weekends, evenings and statutory holidays.
Requirements
Education
University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Work Experience
Extensive experience within a retail operation using a point-of-sale system, in customer service and sales, inventory and cash control;
Skills/Abilities

Excellent soft skills;

General knowledge of art history and an interest in the arts;

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, the ability to perform diverse tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work well under pressure; Ability to work independently and as a team member within a fast-paced, high demand and constantly changing work environment.
