Position: Security Guard
Site: Nike Canada Warehouse - 260 Brimley Road, Scarborough
Hours: Monday to Friday (2300-0700hrs)
Payrate: $18.66/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
- Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
- Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed.
- Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.
- Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.
- Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
- Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant authorities as needed.
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
- Must be able to commute to the pre-deployment training (3 of 5 training days)
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Other duties and responsibilities as stated and directed by the client and or management.
Prerequisites:
- Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Must have a valid (WSIB-Approved) First Aid and CPR Level-C Certification
- Must be proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employment
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with 2 dose minimum. Proof required.
- Authorized to work in Canada legally
