Who You Are We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Technology to lead the full software delivery lifecycle with end-to-end responsibility over Dev and API Factories, QA automation, Generative AI integration, security and audit readiness, and enterprise data and taxonomy governance. This role includes managing the Centers of Excellence (COEs) for Data, SDLC, Security, and API practices, as well as leading the organization’s AI and Agile
practices.
The Director will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Professional Services, Product, Security, and Compliance, to ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
What You'll Do Software Delivery & SDLC Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including planning, development, QA, deployment, and monitoring.
- Manage and scale Dev Factories and API Factories to optimize delivery velocity, modularity, and reusability.
- Drive consistent adoption of best practices across distributed, agile teams.
Dev & API Factory Oversight
- Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of APIs and microservices.
- Standardize API governance, versioning, and developer experience through the Developer Portal.
QA Strategy & Automation
- Define and implement QA strategies focused on test automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Promote shift-left testing to minimize defects and improve release quality.
Generative AI Integration
- Lead adoption and governance of GenAI tools across the SDLC for coding, documentation, and testing automation.
- Establish responsible AI usage policies and measure impact on developer productivity.
Data & Taxonomy Governance
- Own data governance and taxonomy standards across engineering tools (Jira, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, test platforms).
- Ensure consistency in metadata, tagging, naming conventions, and reporting structures supporting traceability and compliance.
KPI & OKR Management
- Define and track KPIs/OKRs related to delivery velocity, quality, security, partner performance, and AI adoption.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership and stakeholders.
Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders
- Partner closely with Professional Services and Product teams to ensure engineering delivery supports client onboarding, customizations, and integrations.
- Align with external delivery partners to maintain delivery standards and SLAs.
Centers of Excellence (COEs) Leadership
- Lead COEs for Data Governance, SDLC Best Practices, Security & Compliance, and API Management.
- Drive continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation across these domains.
AI & Agile Practice Management
- Manage the AI Practice, driving adoption, governance, and training for GenAI and related technologies.
- Lead the Agile Practice to foster Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), coaching teams for continuous delivery excellence.
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and grow a globally distributed, high-performing engineering and delivery organization.
- Cultivate a culture of ownership, innovation, and cross-team collaboration.
- Proven experience managing and motivating high-performing engineering teams to deliver excellence.
What You Bring
- Minimum 10 years in software engineering leadership, including:
- Prior hands-on and managerial experience in API development and governance.
- Strong background in data governance, taxonomy, and tool integration across SDLC platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in security governance, compliance, and audit readiness in software delivery.
- Proven leadership of Dev and API Factories or similar engineering delivery models.
- Experience leading QA automation and modern testing strategies.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tool adoption in software development.
- Management of COEs or similar practice areas is highly desirable.
- Agile coaching or leadership experience managing Agile transformations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate high-performing engineering teams.
- Cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tooling.
- SDLC tools such as Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
- API design tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman).
- Security frameworks and audit standards (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong strategic vision and execution focus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including working with internal Professional Services teams and external partners.
- Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
