Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard! Location: Vaughan, ON
Schedule: Continental Rotation - 0700-1900 / 1900-0700
Pay Rate: $18.73/hour
Averaging Agreement: Overtime after 88 hours

Our Woman and Child , Inpatient Mental Health , and Inpatient Integrated Stroke programs are available at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.
We are seeking professional and motivated Full-Time Security Guards to join our team in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and restricted zones.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, responding promptly to suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Control access to the hospital and ensure only authorized individuals enter sensitive areas.
- Assist during emergency situations including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and evacuations.
- Greet and assist visitors and patients while maintaining hospital policy compliance.
- De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally, ensuring safety for all parties.
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement to maintain a secure environment.
- Uphold hospital safety standards and respond appropriately to violations.
Requirements
- Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider
- COVID-19 vaccination (two doses)
- Proof of up-to-date immunization for MMRV (Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella) and two-step Tuberculosis test
- Willingness to complete N95 Mask Fit testing during training
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- English fluency (oral and written) required
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Ability to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants without certifications may complete Paladin's UOF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding
