Job Overview: Apex Industries is seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This full-time, permanent position reports to the Fabrication Supervisor and plays a key role in the fitting and welding of various materials used in our custom manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints to plan, layout, fit, assemble, and weld stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum. Interpret weld symbols and drawing notes to ensure all components are fabricated to specifications and tolerances. Verify materials and finished products meet applicable standards and quality requirements. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety procedures and proper equipment handling. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of fabrication experience; CWB welding tickets are considered an asset. Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation, and forklift safety is an asset. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
