The Apprentice Carpenter / Skilled Labourer is also responsible for general site maintenance and clean-up as needed. Responsibilities Work in labour and apprentice carpentry scopes of work for residential and commercial construction. Assist in tasks such as housekeeping, quality management and safety of all buildings constructed in a project Perform touch ups and repairs on sub-trade deficiencies Carpentry work that falls outside of the scope of work of subcontractors Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun Support the Arbutus team as needed for the project lifecyle Other tasks as required by the site foreman Requirements 2+ years of construction labour and/or carpentry experience Experience in residential construction is an asset Good verbal communication skills Understanding of how to use small tools and power tools Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment Great work ethic and willingness to be a team player Appearance must be neat, clean and professional Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license West Cirque Construction is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where all employees feel valued and respected.
