East Saint John Branch Saint John, NB The Commercial Banking Administrator provides administrative support to the Commercial Banking Department by actioning and auditing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, auditing files and documentation, and preparing and executing commercial documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include Member Service Administer commercial lending, investment, and deposit account documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures. Support the full lifecycle of commercial credit facilities, including documentation preparation, security registrations, renewals, discharges, and ongoing account maintenance. Conduct audits and reviews of commercial applications, loan files, account records, and related documentation to ensure quality and operational effectiveness. Maintain commercial banking records, tracking systems, diaries, and reporting processes to support the efficient administration of commercial portfolios. Provide administrative support to the Commercial Banking team while delivering responsive service and support to internal stakeholders. Contribute to business development efforts through effective administrative support and a commitment to service excellence. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure commercial banking activities comply with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established risk management practices. Administer and monitor specialized accounts and programs, including government programs, trust accounts, prepaid funeral contracts, and other designated commercial products. Protect member information by adhering to privacy requirements, security standards, and information-sharing protocols. Support the ongoing management of commercial lending and investment activities by maintaining knowledge of current regulatory, industry, and market practices. Adhere to all security, fraud prevention, privacy, anti-money laundering, and operational risk procedures relevant to the role. Teamwork & Credit Union Support Maintain current knowledge of Brunswick Credit Union products, services, systems, and commercial banking processes. Collaborate effectively with team members and provide cross-functional support to ensure seamless service delivery and operational continuity. Participate in meetings, training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to support individual and team success. Contribute to departmental projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts as required. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed a post-secondary certificate or diploma program (1-2) years in Business Administration plus have 1-3 years industry experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Advanced knowledge of products and services Advanced abilities in use of Microsoft Office 365 applications Advanced attention to detail Proficient communication skills (oral, written) Proficient knowledge of policies and regulatory environment Proficient in relationship building skills Proficient critical thinking, decision making and ability to exercise sound judgement Working knowledge of sales, promotion and referrals Working knowledge of commercial lending practices and financial principles This position has an annual salary in the range of $57,800 - $68,000. Candidates should have advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills and attention to detail, along with knowledge of regulatory policies, commercial lending, financial principles, communication, relationship building, and sound decision-making.
