Prepare geological samples by crushing, pulverizing, or sieving them according to standard procedures and processing incoming samples in priority order. Perform and document quality checks, operate and clean equipment, follow safety requirements, and report equipment issues or improvement opportunities.

Inspect petroleum and petrochemical shipments at facilities such as ships, barges, tanks, railcars, and trucks by collecting samples, gauging quantities, and completing calculations and job documentation. Maintain equipment and safety standards, deliver samples for analysis or retention, communicate discrepancies, and remain available on call.

Maintain and improve the environmental laboratory’s ISO/IEC 17025-compliant quality management system, including controlled documentation, accreditation readiness, and compliance monitoring. Track quality indicators, support audits and management reviews, train staff, and contribute to risk-based and continuous improvement initiatives.
