Maintain proficiency as a qualified crew member, even when not holding a type rating on the supported aircraft. Provide seat support during simulator evaluation events conducted by CAE or regulatory authorities validating simulator performance. Deliver a professional, safe, and customer‑focused training experience in a collaborative team environment. CAE seeks experienced pilots who value CRM, thrive in a team setting, and are committed to delivering a high‑quality training experience. Ability to provide a minimum of 35 simulator events within a rolling 12‑month period to remain current and eligible for recurrent training. Must reside within the Greater Montreal Area. Availability for workdays of up to 11 or more hours (typically no more than 6 hours in the simulator at one time). Ability to commit 3 to 5 weeks or more to complete initial training on the assigned platform. Availability to work any day of the week and at any time of day, based on personal availability. Must meet all TSA requirements. Must honor and commit to all scheduled training sessions once agreed upon. Scheduling is a minimum of 5 hours per assignment and may occur 24/7. Strong communication skills across all mediums (verbal and written) and at all organizational levels. Strong commitment to customer service, delivering continuous “red‑carpet” service. Interest in mentoring and supporting pilots from diverse operational and cultural backgrounds. This role is well suited for: Aspiring aviation professionals who meet the qualifications and are looking to build a strong professional foundation through exposure to world‑class training; and Experienced pilots seeking to step away from the rigors of frequent travel and line flying while remaining active in the cockpit and contributing to high‑quality simulator training. In addition to receiving formal SIC simulator training on select aircraft types, SCMs may have the opportunity to earn and attend, at no cost, advanced programs and enrichment courses offered by CAE.
