The Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region & South Simcoe Branch was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illnesses. We help people learn how to maintain their mental health, look for and identify the signs of mental illness, and get help and support when they need it. Through several locations across York Region and South Simcoe, we provide a wide range of services to assist individuals with their recovery. Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals are dedicated to assisting people to achieve their optimum level of mental health. Innovation – To bring value to our community. CMHA, York Region & South Simcoe Branch is part of the one of the oldest voluntary health organizations in Canada. Each year across Canada, CMHA provides services to more than 100,000 people through the efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff in local branches. Our Mission: As the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.

The Housing Support Worker provides individualized support and wellness planning to clients in congregate living environments to promote recovery and independence. They also facilitate access to community resources, assist with financial management, and engage in systemic advocacy to improve service availability.

The Social Worker coordinates and delivers comprehensive mental health and addiction services while collaborating with an inter-professional team to develop individualized care plans. They are responsible for conducting risk assessments, maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems, and advocating for patient needs.

The RPN provides comprehensive case management, mental and physical health assessments, and medication administration for clients with serious mental illness. They work collaboratively within an Assertive Community Treatment Team to support client recovery and independence.

The Registered Practical Nurse provides comprehensive case management and clinical support to clients with persistent mental illness, including medication administration and treatment planning. They work collaboratively within the ACTT team to conduct health assessments and connect clients with necessary community resources.

Provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization's financial ecosystem, including budgeting, risk management, and long-term sustainability. Advises the CEO and Board on financial performance while overseeing technology, facilities, and administrative functions.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing empowerment plans, and coordinating formal and informal supports.
