The Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region & South Simcoe Branch was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental illnesses. We help people learn how to maintain their mental health, look for and identify the signs of mental illness, and get help and support when they need it. Through several locations across York Region and South Simcoe, we provide a wide range of services to assist individuals with their recovery. Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals are dedicated to assisting people to achieve their optimum level of mental health. Each year across Canada, CMHA provides services to more than 100,000 people through the efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff in local branches. The Case Manager provides individualized support and recovery-oriented services to adults with serious mental illness and addictions. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing empowerment plans, and connecting clients with community resources to maximize independence.

Volunteers will welcome guests, assist with gaming inquiries, and help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gaming area. They will also act as representatives for CMHA YRSS by sharing information about mental health programs and supporting promotional activities.

The Case Manager collaborates with clients to develop and implement individualized recovery plans while providing support and facilitating access to community resources. They are responsible for maintaining a caseload, performing comprehensive assessments, and advocating for client needs within the mental health and addictions system.

The clinician will conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychotherapy treatments using culturally adapted CBT and Indigenous approaches. They will also lead relationship-building efforts with Indigenous communities and collaborate with clinical psychologists to support the Indigenous Service Pathway.
