Position Description We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the delivery of large-scale IT initiatives within a banking and payments environment. The role works closely with Agile Scrum teams, business stakeholders, and development teams to analyze business needs, define requirements, support testing, and contribute to end-to-end project delivery. The successful candidate will bring experience in business systems analysis, Agile delivery, requirements management, stakeholder facilitation, and highly available banking and payments systems. Your future duties and responsibilities Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into user stories and specifications Lead and support requirements definition, scope assessment, and impact analysis for large-scale IT projects Facilitate refinement sessions and ensure clear communication of requirements with development teams and stakeholders Develop, execute, and coordinate testing activities including test scenarios, test plans, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Analyze complex business problems and recommend effective, scalable solutions Identify process gaps and drive improvements in banking and payment operations Manage tasks and workflows using JIRA, monitor progress, and resolve blockers Maintain project documentation, reports, and tracking tools using Excel, Word, and SharePoint Communicate project updates, insights, and narratives to stakeholders through meetings, reports, and presentations Support end-to-end project delivery through coordination, stakeholder engagement, process validation, and administrative assistance Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role University degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, computer science, or a related field. Demonstrated experience providing consultation in the development of business requirements and delivering business systems analysis, with consideration for people, processes, systems design, and technology. Demonstrated experience working with Agile software development methodologies in a Business Analyst capacity and applying Agile principles, including psychological safety, equal voice, visibility, transparency, purpose, and belonging. Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings and workshops. Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and work with diverse stakeholders and Scrum team members while managing multiple tasks of varying complexity. Demonstrated knowledge of highly available banking and payments systems. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), or another relevant professional designation Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid Reliability Status security clearance. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 –$125,000. Requirements
Requires a degree or diploma in business, commerce, computer science, or a related field, along with experience in business systems analysis, Agile methods, requirements development, and facilitating meetings or workshops. Candidates should understand highly available banking and payment systems, manage changing priorities and diverse stakeholders, hold or be eligible for a Reliability Status clearance, and have a relevant business analysis designation such as CBAP or CCBA.
