We are currently seeking an Order Picker/Fulfilment Specialist who will play an important role on our manufacturing team where collaboration and innovation are a big part of our collective success. The main responsibilities include preparing shipping and customs documentation, retrieving orders and preparing products for shipment, packaging products, monitoring shipping deadlines and administrative duties including preparing shipping documentation. (Robots, Drones, Artificial Intelligence, Vision Systems) 3 weeks’ vacation per year with no waiting period Paid sick days A “Dream Fund” (gym memberships, personal interest classes, etc.) A dynamic, energetic and growing company with a friendly community atmosphere A collaborative and supportive workplace that values the contributions and ideas of our staff, and are proud of our extremely low turnover rate throughout our 40+ year history Employees who have great passion for their work and who are always looking for ways to propel Connect Tech to the next level Key Responsibilities Packaging products for shipping while adhering to standard instructions Prepare bills of lading for shipments Monitor daily shipping deadlines and manage workflow accordingly Administer order shipments in software program Process shipments in FedEx, UPS, DHL, and Purolator portals Create customs documentation in CERS portal for international shipments Retrieving and handling packaging supplies Complete shipping documentation neatly and accurately Adhere to all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment Process shipments in FedEx, UPS, and Purolator Create customs documentation in CERS portal for international shipments Required Skills And Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Must have experience processing domestic and international shipments Working knowledge of shipping carriers’ portals Previous experience in shipping or logistic is an asset Proven experience in an order picking or fulfilment role an asset Thrives in a team work environment also works well with other teams Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a computerized environment (MS Office) Proven capability to learn new systems quickly Have initiative to be productive and self-motivated Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective communication skills Capable of lifting boxes or materials up to 45 pounds when needed Comfortable standing for long periods and working with ladders If you are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume in PDF format to the application form linked below. Candidates must have experience processing domestic and international shipments, familiarity with carrier portals, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods.
