About

CURA is a climatetech startup building breakthrough electrochemical technology to decarbonize one of the world’s hardest-to-abate sectors: cement. CURA’s vision is a world where zero-carbon cement and lime are produced at scale—fueling not only sustainable construction but also supplying clean lime for steelmaking, chemicals, mining, agriculture, and carbon removal. Join us on our mission to build a net-zero future.

Open positions

Mechanical Engineer

On-site · Calgary

Design and prototype electrolyzer stacks, including flow plates and compression systems, to scale technology from lab to industrial hardware. Collaborate with electrochemists and manufacturing partners to ensure reliable, leak-tight, and manufacturable physical hardware.

Prototype Technician

On-site · Calgary

The Prototype Technician is responsible for building, assembling, and instrumenting electrolyzer test rigs and components based on CAD designs. They execute validation tests, collect experimental data, and iterate on hardware designs to support the transition from lab to industrial scale.

Mechanical Engineer

On-site · Calgary

You will own the physical hardware design for electrolyzer stacks, translating electrochemical requirements into manufacturable industrial hardware. This involves creating 3D CAD models, managing prototypes, and collaborating with the machine shop to ensure reliable system performance.

Prototype Technician

On-site · Calgary

The Prototype Technician will build, assemble, and instrument electrolyzer test rigs while fabricating components to support rapid design iteration. They are responsible for executing validation tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and documenting experimental data to ensure consistent results.

Chemical Engineer

On-site · Calgary

The Chemical Engineer will perform laboratory experiments to validate process chemistry and translate results into engineering design criteria and process simulations. They will also lead equipment sizing, selection, and specification while managing relationships with external engineering partners.

Lead, Carbon Markets & Storage

On-site · Calgary

Manage the end-to-end carbon value chain by securing CO2 transport and storage and monetizing environmental attribute credits. Lead the company's carbon markets strategy and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks in Canada, Europe, and other target markets.

Chemical Engineer

On-site · Calgary

The role involves conducting laboratory experiments to validate process chemistry and translating those results into engineering designs and simulations for electrochemical cement production. The engineer will also manage external engineering firms and support the scale-up of pilot and commercial facilities.

Synthetic Chemist

On-site · Calgary

Lead the design, synthesis, and characterization of new additives to improve the efficiency and durability of an electrochemical acid and base production platform. Develop structure-activity relationships and manage the molecular library to support the decarbonization of cement production.
