What you'll do (the highlights) As a Senior Direct Support Professional, you are a Full-Time leadership team member and the lead staff on shift, responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting your team, and ensuring high-quality care. What that looks like: * Working a bi-weekly rotating schedule featuring a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. * Leading and coordinating staff on shift to ensure all responsibilities are completed. * Providing direct support including personal hygiene, grocery shopping, housekeeping, meal preparation, and socialization. * Ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and comfortable. * Supporting medical needs including appointments, medication, and follow-ups. * Organizing the day, monitoring routines, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation. * Reviewing staff documentation, time tracking, and incident reports for accuracy. * Supporting staff through guidance, task assignment, and real-time coaching. * Encouraging and supporting people at DASCH to engage in community activities based on their likes and abilities. * Advocating for people at DASCH, ensuring their best interests are always prioritized. * Being a role model to both staff and people supported by promoting independence, dignity, and respect. Your qualifications: * Completed Grade 10 in Canada, or you have achieved Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment. * A Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License (Intermediate Stage acceptable). * Have a smart device with internet access. * Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or related education. * Demonstrated leadership or experience guiding others in a team environment.
