Your opportunity

The Tax Specialist will work on a variety of tax files and provide technical support to team members and clients of Canadian taxation. Start date for this role will be September 8th.

Your major responsibilities

Prepare a variety of tax returns (personal, corporate and trust income tax returns, as well as sales tax returns) and information returns (including partnership returns and foreign reporting forms) Assist with income tax and sales tax research for internal and external client needs Assist with correspondences and engage in discussions with various tax authorities Compile necessary facts, analyze viable options, prepare documentation, and present conclusions in a complete, accurate, organized and professional manner for internal and external client use Assist Managers with tax planning for a variety of clients that involve domestic and international income tax and sales tax issues

What we look for

Relevant coop or internship experience is an asset Committed to obtaining a CPA designation University degree with a specialization in accounting Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep is an asset Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
