The Somerville Acheson Yard Hand/Warehouse Helper has an integral role in the operations of our construction team and, as such, attendance is an important requirement of this role. Hourly Wage $23.00/Hour. Position is 5 days a week, 10hrs/day with overtime and weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain order and cleanliness in the yard amongst the Somerville equipment and Somerville yard, provide support and general labour as required

• Ensure all equipment and tooling is re-stocked and loaded for jobs as necessary

• Communicate with Somerville field team to fill and deliver necessary equipment and consumables to remote job sites

• Loading and unloading of Somerville equipment, pre-and post job

• Use company software to complete required paperwork for jobs

• Follow all safety policies and procedures

• Participate in process improvement initiatives

• Maintain an orderly workspace

• Good communication skills

• Contribute to a positive, congenial work environment

• Perform other duties as directed, including general yard work

• Equipment Used Forklift, loader, etc.

• Be able to work unsupervised

Qualifications

• Minimum Class 5 license required with clean driving abstract
• The ability to lift 50Ib is required
